Technical Info & Troubleshooting Guide
Everything you need to know about power requirements, setup specs, and troubleshooting for your Just Bounce Miami rental. Questions? Call us at (305) 909-2686.
⚡ Power & Electrical Requirements
Every inflatable rental from Just Bounce Miami requires a dedicated 20-amp electrical circuit within 100 feet of the setup location. This is the single most important requirement for a successful event. Each blower motor draws significant power, and sharing a circuit with other appliances will cause the breaker to trip.
Important: Each inflatable needs its OWN dedicated circuit. Running multiple inflatables or other appliances on the same circuit will trip the breaker. If you are unsure about your electrical setup, call us at (305) 909-2686 before your event.
| Equipment Type | Power Draw | Circuit Needed | Outlet Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Bounce House | 8-10 Amps | Dedicated 20A | Standard 3-prong |
| Water Slide (Small-Med) | 9-11 Amps | Dedicated 20A | Standard 3-prong |
| Water Slide (Large) | 11-14 Amps | Dedicated 20A | Standard 3-prong |
| Obstacle Course | 10-14 Amps (1-2 blowers) | 1-2 Dedicated 20A | Standard 3-prong |
| Combo Unit | 9-12 Amps | Dedicated 20A | Standard 3-prong |
| Interactive Game | 8-12 Amps | Dedicated 20A | Standard 3-prong |

🔌 How to Check for a Power Failure
Troubleshooting Power at Your Home
Check the blower: Make sure the blower is plugged in and the power switch is in the ON position. Sometimes the plug can get bumped loose.
Check the outlet: Unplug the blower and test the outlet with another device (like a phone charger). If the outlet has no power, the issue is your circuit.
Check your breaker panel: Look for a tripped breaker (it will be in the middle position or OFF position). Flip it fully OFF, then back ON.
Reduce the load: Unplug any other devices on the same circuit. The blower needs a dedicated circuit to run properly.
Check for GFCI trips: If your outlet has a GFCI reset button (usually in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, or outdoors), press the RESET button.

Troubleshooting Power with a Generator
Check fuel level: Most generator issues are simply low fuel. Top off the tank and try again.
Check the generator output: Make sure the generator is rated for at least 3,000 watts (for one inflatable). We recommend a minimum 3,500W generator per unit.
Check connections: Ensure the extension cord is securely connected to both the generator outlet and the blower.
Generator overload: If the generator keeps shutting off, you may be drawing too much power. Disconnect other devices and try running just the blower.
Need a generator? Call us at (305) 909-2686 and we can arrange generator rental for your event.
Generator tip: Always start the generator BEFORE plugging in the blower. Starting a generator under load can damage both the generator and the blower motor. Place the generator at least 20 feet from the inflatable and any enclosed areas.
🛠 Common Rental Issues & Solutions
Inflatable Looks Soft or Deflating
Inflatables are designed with small ventilation openings to allow air circulation. Some softness is normal, especially on very hot days when the material expands. However, if the unit looks significantly deflated:
- Check that the blower is running and air is flowing
- Inspect the tube connecting the blower to the inflatable for disconnection
- Make sure no seams have come apart (rare but possible)
- Check that all flaps and velcro closures are sealed
If the unit continues to lose air, call us at (305) 909-2686 right away.
Water Slide Not Slippery Enough
Our water slides need a consistent water flow to stay slippery and fun:
- Make sure the water hose is connected and turned on fully
- Check that the sprinkler nozzles at the top are not clogged
- Water pressure below 40 PSI may not provide enough flow - try turning off other hoses in use
- Keep the hose running continuously during use for best performance
Inflatable is Wet Inside (Dry Rental)
If your dry inflatable has moisture inside:
- Morning dew or overnight rain can leave moisture - wipe down with towels
- High humidity in South Florida can cause condensation inside
- Never use a wet/dry unit as dry if water has been used on it
Stakes or Anchoring Questions
All our inflatables are secured with heavy-duty stakes on grass or sandbags on hard surfaces:
- Never remove or adjust stakes/anchoring - call us if adjustments are needed
- If a stake comes loose in soft ground, call us immediately
- Do not move the inflatable once it is set up and anchored
💡 Setup & Safety Tips
🏠 Backyard Setup Checklist
- Clear area of rocks, sticks, pet waste, and sharp objects
- Ensure setup area is level (slight slopes are OK)
- Confirm overhead clearance - no tree branches, power lines, or patio covers
- Identify the electrical outlet you will use (within 100 ft)
- Ensure gate access is wide enough for delivery (minimum 3 ft for most units)
- Water access within 100 ft for water slide rentals
- Sprinkler systems turned off in the setup area
🏝 Park Setup Requirements
- Reserve your park space well in advance
- Confirm if the park allows inflatables (most Miami-Dade parks do - we are Parks & Rec registered!)
- Generator will be needed - parks typically have no electrical outlets
- Identify flat, level ground away from sprinklers and slopes
- Confirm vehicle access for our delivery truck
- Have your park permit ready if required
Just Bounce Miami is registered with Miami-Dade Parks & Recreation - we are approved for setup in all Miami-Dade county parks that allow inflatables.
🚶 Supervision Guidelines
- An adult (18+) must supervise the inflatable at ALL times during use
- Group children by similar size and age
- Maximum capacity must be observed (posted on each unit)
- No shoes, glasses, jewelry, or sharp objects inside the inflatable
- No food, drinks, gum, or silly string inside the inflatable
- No flips, wrestling, or roughhousing inside the unit
- Remove children immediately during high winds (15+ mph)
📦 Before Our Team Leaves

🧹 Cleaning & Care During Your Rental
💧 Keeping It Clean
- Wipe down the entrance and slide areas periodically with a damp cloth
- For water slides, the water flow helps keep surfaces clean
- Clean up any spills or accidents immediately
- Use only water and mild soap if cleaning is needed - no harsh chemicals
- Remove any debris (leaves, grass) that blows inside
🚫 Damage Prevention
- Keep pets away from the inflatable and blower
- No sharp objects, sticks, or toys inside the unit
- No silly string, confetti, or glitter (causes permanent staining)
- Do not place the inflatable near BBQ grills, fire pits, or heat sources
- Do not allow face paint near white or light-colored inflatables
- Report any rips, tears, or damage to us immediately
